A brief history of Rizom-Lab

Founded by Rémi Arquier, Rizom-Lab builds on the innovation that began with Unfold3D in 2003, one of the first commercial UV mapping tools capable of flattening complex geometry without distortion. These ground-breaking UV mapping algorithms became industry standards, even powering Autodesk’s Maya® and SoftImage® software. In 2016, Rémi launched Rizom-Lab with a fresh vision, creating RizomUV, a new generation of UV mapping tools designed for speed, precision, and usability. Inspired by the concept of the rhizome, an ever-growing root system, Rizom-Lab is committed to continuous evolution. Today, RizomUV offers powerful standalone applications, Virtual Spaces and Real Spaces, along with a versatile C++ library for seamless software integration. By prioritizing collaboration, innovation, and user feedback, Rizom-Lab is shaping the future of UV mapping.

Meet the senior team

Rémi Arquier leads Rizom-Lab’s innovation in UV mapping, pushing the boundaries of 3D software design and research. His passion for solving complex technical challenges keeps the company at the forefront of the industry. With a hands-on approach, he ensures Rizom-Lab delivers powerful tools for artists and developers.

With over 20 years of experience in the technology and entertainment industries, Marie has successfully managed diverse business functions, including finance, HR, IT, marketing, production, and development, particularly in fast-growing companies. She joined Rizom-Lab in 2018, bringing her extensive expertise to support the company’s growth and development.

With a background in 3D art, motion graphics, and producing educational content, Samuel has successfully worked in these fields for over a decade. He joined Rizom-Lab in 2022 and now leverages his skillset to enhance the usability and functionality of RizomUV, while also creating content that educates users on its capabilities.

With a decade of experience spanning both the entertainment and higher education sectors, Coline Moire joined Rizom-Lab in 2024. Bringing her expertise in strategic communication and brand development, Coline plays a key role in enhancing the company’s visibility and strengthening its reputation within the industry.

With strong international experience, Vadim joined Rizom-Lab in 2025. He specializes in customer relationship management and digital environments, supporting enterprise clients and driving product adoption worldwide. Fluent in French, German, and English, he plays a key role in strengthening client engagement and supporting customers throughout their journey with Rizom-Lab.

With a degree in Business Management from Universidad Ecotec (Ecuador), Karen gained valuable experience at prestigious institutions such as the University of Guayaquil and VINCI. She joined Rizom-Lab in 2021 to support administrative tasks and is now the main point of contact for students. Karen is also happy to assist with any commercial inquiries.

With over 10 years of experience in web project management, particularly in education and start-ups, Dorian joined us in 2025 to oversee the development of our website and digital tools.

With more than 15 years of experience as a WordPress developer, Jonathan has been supporting agencies and clients on complex, high-quality web projects. He joined the team in 2025 to bring his deep WordPress expertise to our projects.
